The Apartment

Good sized twin-bedded room, built-in wardrobe, dressing table, bedside tables. Tiled bathroom: small bath/overhead shower, bidet, wc, hand basin. Kitchen area: gas hob, refrigerator. Lounge/diner - traditional Spanish furniture - comfortable chairs/settee (pull-out bed*); sideboards, coffee table. Small terrace; patio furniture provided. Maximum number of persons - 2 adults (and l youngster - see above*).

Iron/ironing board/kettle supplied. Weekly clean/change of linen, beach towels not supplied. The apartment is usually let Thursday to Thursday but we can be flexible whenever possible.

Location

Conveniently situated - 5 minutes beach, shops, supermarkets, restaurants/bars. Puerto del Carmen approximately 1.5 kilometres - shops, boutiques, post office, restaurants, bars, harbour, etc.

Lanzarote and Puerto del Carmen

Lanzarote is a delightful island; virtually no high rise developments; no advertising hoardings. The small low level villas and apartments - painted white with green or blue windows/ doors give a charming appearance against the brown/red landscape. Not so much a pretty island, but more starkly beautiful.

Puerto del Carmen has a long sandy beach - ideal for swimming at all times. A car is not essential but with one there are other beaches, about 25-60 minutes away; in the north there is a fertile area with hundreds of palm trees, a dramatic beach with a towering cliff - wind surfers come from all over the world. Visit the volcanoes, ride a camel, tour the island by jeep, go by boat around the island.

Ideal for scuba diving/surfing. Island abounds in restaurants both simple and sophisticated - wide range of prices, and plenty of bars. Young people think it is a great place; those of a mature age find it peaceful and tranquil. Supermarkets are good; Lanzarote is a duty-free zone; some items good value.

We can recommend car hire firms - you can collect a car at the airport - 20 minutes from the apartment by car or taxi.

An island for all seasons - the nearest place to Europe for the sun during the winter - under 4 hours by 'plane. We hope you will like to visit this lovely island and especially our apartment.
